Rhonda SG tare, I read your post about the expensive cab fares and I'm really astounded at how expensive the fares are these days! Excuse me if I'm being a tad paranoid, but I used to tell Aussies who'd ask me about Singapore, that it's a good place to visit because : - it's cheap to take taxis (strike off list); - cheap and good food; - good shopping (strike off list); - good night life; and - it's very safe and relatively crime-free. Looks like I'm fast running out of selling points.
Fatum SG it's still a cheap place .... my highest taxi bill came to C$110 ..... so taking the taxi in singapore is still damm cheap ...
Rhonda SG Eh... Fatum, excuse me for asking but are you paying those cut-throat matchmaking agencies who will find you a nice, docile, foreign wife for an exhorbitant amount of money? Whilst it's nice that you want to pamper your future wife, I think having a wife should be an asset, a partnership, not a financial liability. Why would you want to shackle yourself to a high-maintenance woman? But oh well, some men have their brains shifting down to the er... nether regions, probably due to gravity. If you willingly want to be slave to one of those Princess types, then be prepared!
Fatum SG no ... but I promised myself to give her van cleef and arpels and vera wang for our wedding .... she's down to earth and is not pretentious ... but i've made it a goal to let her lack nothing in life, a life with me, you know ... nothing is too good for my sayang ....
av98m SG I think you're adding a lot of stress to yourself...but good luck anyway so what is the workplan? marriage in 2 years, followed by 4 years of childbearing for the missus?
av98m SG Originally posted by kopiosatu: I finally know what love is, after so many years of marriage. I gave all my money to my wife and transfer all my assets to her. I feel so peaceful now. My wife is a changed person, she feel more secure, treat me better than before. I realize love is about giving without expectation of return. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAAHAHAsometimes I wonder how much of what is posted in AA is fiction and how much is fact.
Fatum SG oh ? ... where did that come from ? ... that incident outside hume park was a hwa chong kid ? .. muahahahahaha ....
tare SG i don't know abt nite life... haven't been out often liao well it's still relatively safe but with the foreign population rising... i doubt it'll last >.< so we're left with GOOD FOOD, GOOD FOOD AND GOOD FOOD
viciouskitty74 SG yes. i am living alone too long. I have those quirks where alone/lonely people likes to be organised and put things where they should be. i see the kitchen, the 3 bottles of spray insecticide/baygon are standing together with the soy sauce, chilli sauce they use for cooking. Its opened with the lid barely push down to secure it. the big tray next to the electric thermos flask is filled with tins of biscuits, packets of instant drinks, tea & hotel soap, shower hair covers and another bottled of opened soy sauce bottle & nin jom syrup. And the fridge has milk, butter, leftover food and bottles of water and juice & a can of unopened wet dog food. and the fridge looks flithy.
av98m SG not that one. an earlier case. also over some minor matter and the kid was trying to act tough in front of his girlfriend or something the press statement by hwa chong over that incident was extremely disturbing...they painted the kid as a victim
Fatum SG three years ... and I'm thinking about couple of years of couplehood bliss before cranking up the production line .... and I don't mind this stress ... this is how I protect and love what's mine .... I putter around in $2 great wall brand singlets and blue rubber flip flops, but I want only the best for my loved ones ....
av98m SG he's lucky I want to be a nicer person in 2008 or that quote by him would have become my new siggy
viciouskitty74 SG I rather you are saving for a rainy day for the kids. Because when a child is sick, vera wang, arpels or van cleef wont be of use. I understand your sentiments, but take it from someone who had such hubby. Its great feeling for a while, but what counts is in the long run.
